New York City

For the second part of our trip, we took the train to NYC. Here we are in front of the Labor Day parade on the streets of Manhattan. The next day, Sunday, we went to the Manhattan 1st ward for church. Mitt Romney was there, too. His son is in that ward and was blessing his baby son that day.
Our carriage ride around Central Park

Lady Liberty from the window of our harbor cruise boat.

Manhattan skyline minus the twin towers. Our tour guide said the WTC was twice as high as these buildings here.

Rachel rode around Manhattan in this backpack. What a nice life! We had to walk . . .She's waiting to take the harbor cruise.

The New York Public Library. Look familiar? Ghostbusters, The Day After Tomorrow . . .etc. We also saw the Broadway show Wicked, which was incredible. Unfortunately, due to a downpour caused by Hurricane Hanna, we did not take any pictures.

It looks like you guys had so much fun. You even got to go to the Ghostbuster's site. Those were some great pictures. The one of the statue of liberty is beautiful. Looks like you had decent weather.

Hi! Did you guys talk to my mom about Wicked? My brother works on that show and (depending on his day) can give backstage tours. But hopefully you love that show as much as we did. When Matt and I went we saw Mary Poppins too, which was also phenomenal... I think I liked it more that Wicked, but its a close call.

Wendi! I lost track of you somewhere, and then you popped up on my blog. I'm so glad you found me. Hooray!

What to say...I am sooo jealous of your trip to NY. I love Wicked, which I drove to LA to see. I'm actually listening to the soundtrack now.

And what a beautiful little girl!!
